How did these two Amazing Adventures meet?
It started years ago, three to be exact, when a young man named Brian visited a local sage. Brian decided to travel into the local town for the day and was driven by forces yet to be determined to seek the wisdom of one that has the second sight.
Having found the right place and upon entering the smoke filled room, he was greeted by a foul mouthed man who guided him to a room in the back. When a price was agreed upon, Brian placed the money on the table and the sage began to weave a tale. One that this weary traveler was excited, yet cautious to hear.
What the sage spoke of was riddles and names. Names that had no meaning to the traveler, at least not yet.
The sage wrote two names on the paper placed in front of him, Rachel and Randolph.
The foul mouthed wise man also told the traveler to go out and have fun. Go and make a profile on the internet machine. Put out exactly what it is you are looking for into the machine and have fun.
Brian left that day and travelled back to the comfort of his water- side house. Down to the library he travelled to craft a letter to his future adventure.
It is in that letter that he wrote some vague, comical and interesting paragraphs of what he was searching for. Surely, he thought, if anyone reads this and responds then, well...I would know, he said.
A few hours went by.....nothing....
A few more hours....something...
Strange, he began reading a response to his inquiry, but it was not on his page. He kept looking at what was written and a picture of who wrote it. Again, the letter and the picture. It finally dawned on him that this beautiful, adventurous looking young lady had indeed written him back. His heart began to flutter and if anyone was around they would have heard him stutter.
Wait...What? Wait...Her? She wrote me back? Wow...Ok...Be cool. Think of something cool to say back he thought.
After writing, drafting, rewriting, drafting, finalizing and....well, rewriting. He sent his response. Damn he thought. Do not let this one get away.
Pacing...Pacing...staying busy, checking, pacing, checking.
She wrote back, he exclaimed!
Ok, she sounds really smart. Ok, she is very attractive he said out loud. Smart, attractive, likes adventures, and...she is writing me back. Do not mess this up!
The connection was instant.
It is often said by a very select few. That when you meet the right person for you, you know. You just know.
Brian knew it that day.
This beautiful, strong, smart, determined, gutsy, funny, so funny, lovely young lady was the one.
(and when they met, he really knew)
This is the story of Ashley and Brian, Goonies Forever.
And the Adventure continues...
In our own time...
